Nominal checks

Nominal checks represent a written order to issue the specified sum of money to the check holder (individual or legal entity specified in the check).

AUB accepts nominal checks for collection and processes the checks within 14-30 banking days.

Normally, the nominal check validity period constitutes 6 months, however, alternative validity period may be specified in the check. The earlier you submit checks for collections the less probability that a foreign bank rejects them.

AUB commission constituting only 1.5% shall be paid at the moment of submitting the checks for collection.

AUB accepts for collection the USD and euro nominal checks issued by the American and European banks.

• Traveler checks can be bought immediately upon visit to the AUB offices, AUB sells and cashes traveler checks in USD and euro;
• No requirement to establish an account;
• Traveler checks can be cashed in almost any country worldwide;
• Traveler checks have no expiration date.

• Traveler checks are reliably protected by the holder’s signature, so no one, except for the owner, can use them;
• Traveler checks can be restored in case of theft, loss or damage subject to compliance to the Purchase Agreement terms;
• In case of loss the holder may receive the entire nominal value of the traveler check.

• Commission to purchase traveler checks constitutes only 0.75-1%;
• Commission to cash traveler checks constitutes only 2.5%;
• No additional expenses to maintain an account.
