Client Terminal Installation

The Client Terminal software can be installed by using the distribution package that is available from our site (see the link below) or on a CD that you can get in our office (free of charge).

After you have downloaded the distribution package you need to unpack the archive and run the BsTerminal.exe file.
If you have received the software on a CD, you have to choose the “Client Terminal” First Launch option.

After launching the installer you will see a window with the following options available:

  • Install “Bank++ Client Terminal” Software (when running the installer for the very first time, this option is on by default);
  • Install support for smart cards.

If you intend to use a login and a password to access the Client Terminal, simply make sure that the first option is on and then press the Next button without checking the second option.

If you are going to use a smart card, check the second box also. This will install the drivers for your smart card reader device.

E-gate Token Connector with a smart card should be connected to your computer only after installing the drivers and rebooting the computer.

The installer interface language can be switched between English and Russian by clicking corresponding language name at the top right of the dialog window.

Updating the Software

In order to ensure correct functioning of the software and gain access to its new features you should periodically update your copy of the Client Terminal.

Bank++ Client Terminal performs an automatic check for available updates on the server after a process of successful user authentication. A dialog window with the list of all available updates is then displayed on the screen. There are two kinds of updates available: required updates and optional updates. Obligatory updates have to be downloaded and installed immediately in order for the software to work correctly. Optional updates may be downloaded on later application starts.

You can view the list of all updates already applied to your copy of the software, and also the list of all published updates that you have not yet installed. If you decide to reject some optional updates while performing an update process, you will be able to install them at the next application launch.
