Mikhail Nadel
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mikhail Anatolyevich Nadel has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OJSC AsiaUniversalBank in 2000. His experience in the financial and banking business constitutes over 10 years. M. Nadel has been the Director of “Intel Kit Kft” company, Budapest, since 1997.

M. Nadel has graduated the International Business Academy (Moscow) with a degree in banking in 1995. He was born in 1968, resident of the Russian Federation, married.









Isa Tokoyev
Deputy Chairman of the Board

Isa Tokoev has been the Deputy Chairman of the Board since 2005. Currently he is a member of the Board of CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. I. Tokoev was twice elected a deputy of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (APR) of Jogorku Kenesh (the Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic (of the first and of the second convocations). In 1997 he was elected the Deputy Toraga (the Deputy Chairman) of the APR of the Kyrgyz Parliament. In 2000 Isa Tokoyev was elected a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Jogorku Kenesh and held the position of the Deputy Chairman and then – of the Chairman of the Polity, Constitution and Constitution Legislation Committee of the Legislative Assembly of Jogorku Kenesh of KR. In 2003 I. Tokoyev was elected the Chairman of the Board of “Peoples of Kyrgyzstan Assembly”. Isa Tokoyev is the second rank Counselor of state. Mr. Tokoyev is awarded with “Dank” medal and the medal of CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. He is an Honored Culture Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic and an Honored citizen of Bishkek City.

I. Tokoev has graduated from Moscow Higher Technological University named after M. Schepkin and Almaty Higher Party School, Kyrgyz National State University (Law department) and New York Finance Institute (Budget policy courses). He was born in 1952, a resident of the Kyrgyz Republic, married.









Alexandra Katrin
Member of the Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee

A. Katrin has been a Member of the Board of Directors since 1999. She exercises the overall supervision of the Accounting and Financial Control Board and Internal Audit Department. As a Member of the Board, Mrs. Katrin supervises various management, tax, financial planning, analysis and budgeting issues as well as external auditor relations. A. Katrin actively led and managed the transition of the AUB accounting procedures to comply with the international accounting standards and international audit requirements.

A. Katrin has graduated from Moscow Construction Institute with a degree in Automated Control Systems in 1985. In 1995, she received a degree in Finance and Credit from the Moscow International Business Academy. A. Katrin has been awarded Auditor and Accountant qualification certificates, Russia, and has successfully passed the CPA Uniform Exam. She was born in 1963, married.









Robert Dole
Member of the Board of Directors

R. Dole is a member of the Board of directors of OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank” from 2007. A renowned US statesman worked in the US Senate from 1968. He gained national prominence as Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 1971 to 1972. Elected as the Senate Majority Leader in 1984 Senator Dole set a record as the longest serving Republican leader. He resigned from the Senate in 1996 to pursue his campaign for President of the United States.

Senator Dole headed a number of social initiatives, for example following September 11, he joined former President Bill Clinton in helping to raise $120 million as Co-Chair of the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, which will enable families of victims to attend a college or trade school of their choice.










J. Bennett Johnston

Member of the Board of Directors

J. Bennett Johnston has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank” in 2007. J. Bennett Johnston’s public political career spanned 32 years, including eight years in the Louisiana Legislature and 24 years in the United States Senate – in Budget Committee and Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. The secret of his success according to Physics Today was “by doing what he does best: mastering the technical details of arcane topics, forging a bipartisan coalition to back his approach and in negotiating trade-offs and compromises with his opponents”. His career produced a formidable list of legislative triumphs including measures to provide navigation, flood control, hurricane protection, and other infrastructure projects critical to Louisiana’s future.

In 2004 Senator Johnston took an active role in the organization of John Kerry’s Presidential campaign. He also served on the Board of a number of Fortune 500 companies in the United States, including “Chevron”, “Columbia Energy Group”. J. Bennett Johnston continues to serve on the Board of "Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold".









Andrei Galitsky
Member of the Board, member of the Audit Committee

A. Galitsky has been a Member of the Board since 2005. Prior to joining AUB, A. Galitsky has been holding managing positions in a number of Russian companies concentrating on finance management, management and strategic consulting as well as business planning.

A. Galitsky has graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1980; he has received a Distinction Diploma from the Institute of Foreign Languages. A. Galitsky undertook internships in Great Britain. He is the author of numerous publications dedicated to the issues of the venture and direct investments into Russia. He was born in 1957, married.






Michael Mered Ph.D
Member of the Board of Directors

Dr. Michael Mered was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007. Prior to joining the Board of AsiaUniversalBank Dr. Mered worked at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for about 25 years. From 2004 to 2006 he was the Resident Representative of the IMF to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Dr. Mered has decades of practical experience in interaction with public and private sectors as well as international donor organizations. His expertise covers the areas of monetary policy and the banking sector, fiscal policy, exchange and trade policies, and the proper sequencing and implementation of structural reform measures such as privatization, civil service reform, and other governance related policies.

Dr Michael Mered holds a Bachelors degree in economics from Howard University, a Masters degree in development economics from American University, and a Doctorate degree in macro and microeconomics, including trade and monetary economics, from the George Washington University in Washington DC. He is also the author of several publications on fiscal and monetary policies of emerging and developing economies.









Eugene Gourevich

Member of the Board

Mr Gourevitch was elected to the Board in 2006. Mr Gourevitch is co-founder and President of Virage Consulting Ltd, a US-based management consultancy (2001 – present). Mr Gourevitch has experience both as an executive and entrepreneur, with considerable international experience in management consulting, investment banking, wealth management, and high technology industries.

Mr. Gourevitch holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley (1999). Mr. Gourevitch won the prestigious McKinsey International Business Challenge Case Competition in 1999. He was born in 1977 resident of the United States.







Akjolov Rustam Rashidovich
Member of the Board of Directors

Rustam Akjolov was elected a member of the Board of Directors in 2008. He has over ten years of practical experience in the financial business. His expertise covers the areas of banking and investment consulting. Mr. Akjolov held managing positions in a number of foreign companies.

He had held a post of OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank” Deputy Chief Executive Officer before. Under his management AsiaUniversalBank considerably expanded its correspondent-bank network. AsiaUniversalBank entered into close associate relations with the best financial institutions of CIS, Europe and the USA. Thanks to R. Akjolov’s endeavors all payment procedures were considerably intensified. He also made a significant contribution to the Bank’s anti money-laundering system’s development as well as to Compliance systems implementation. The funds obtained from other banks and close cooperation with the associate-banks enabled the Bank to increase manifold extent of its business as well as the volume of currents assets and liabilities.

R. Akjolov graduated from "Turan" University (Kazakhstan) with a degree in “Finance and Credit” in 1997. He was born in 1973; he is married.
