Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank 2008, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance Вest Customer Internet Bank 2008, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance
	Global Finance, an authoritative American financial edition, has studied and evaluated Internet-banking systems for nine years. In August, 2008, the journal summed up a research in the nominations “Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank 2008” and “Вest Customer Internet Bank 2008”.  AsiaUniversalBank was recognized the leader in both nominations. We would like to remind, that in April 2008, Global Finance conducted a research “Best Emerging Market Banks” and AUB was also selected as the best Kyrgyzstan’s bank.  While evaluating candidate Internet-banks, the jury considered the following criteria: an effective strategy on customer attracting and servicing, a successful incitement of customer migration to modern service channels, a customer base enhancement, a full range of services, obvious and tangible effectiveness of selling Internet-channels, and a level of web-site’s design and purposefulness.
Award for Excellence 2008, Kyrgyzstan, Euromoney
	A reputable international business publication “Euromoney” once again made a special mention of high standards of AsiaUniversalBank’s services. The Bank was given «Awards for Excellence». A well-known British business journal “Euromoney” gave its annual reception on the occasion of "Awards for Excellence" presentation in “Hilton” hotel, Vienna, on the first day of July, 2008. Martin Born, the journal’s director for Central, East European and CIS countries, presented the honorable symbol, verifying the award, to Mikhail Nadel, the Chair of the Board of Directors of OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank”. In their comments on awarding prizes in the nominations, «Euromoney» analysts noted that AsiaUniversalBank is a national leader in the sphere of banking products introduction and Internet –banking development; the Bank strives for adaptation of Kyrgyz market to international banking standards.
"Leader of the financial sector" in the nomination " Leader of the stock market" award
	According to the totals of 2007, OJSC "AsiaUniversalBank" was recognized the leader of the financial sector of the Kyrgyz Republic for its best showing at the stock market. Last year 44 bargains to the amount of 481, 1 million soms were made in AUB’s securities at Kyrgyz Stock Exchange. The contest was organized by Kyrgyz Stock Exchange together with Akipress agency. The object of the competition is popularization of the Republic’s stock market and its most active participants. It may be done by means of many-sided independent expert judgment of activities of public companies – issuing banks, which place and sale securities via Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.
Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2008, The Asian Banker
	According to the totals of the research conducted by “The Asian Banker” journal and its several-round selection, AsiaUniversalBank was recognized “Best retail bank in the Kyrgyz Republic - 2008”. The international judicial assembly consisted of noted analysts and experts in sphere of finance and banking evaluated the nominees for the title “Best retail bank in the Kyrgyz Republic”. The judicial assembly included such world-known bankers and financiers as Mr. Philip Strause, Mr. Philippe Paillart, Mr. Varun Sabhlok, Prof. Brett King and Mr. Chris Skinner. The organizers emphasize the fact that “The Asian Banker” has never awarded any nominee just for its popularity at the local market or for its marketing initiatives.
World’s Best Banks in Corporate Governance 2007, Euromoney
	A well-known international business publication Euromoney once again made a special mention of the high standards of AsiaUniversalBank’s services. The Bank was awarded the title “Leader in the sphere of corporate governance in advancing Europe – 2007”. At the XIII Central and East European forum held in Vienna, Austria, on January 15-16, 2007, the Bank’s representative was handed a certificate verifying Euromoney award. This international award became another evidence of AsiaUniversalBank’s transparent activities and its effective organizational framework. While making a decision on awarding the honor, Euromoney’s competent jury estimated such corporate governance factors as independent decision making process of the Board of Directors and the Board of Administration; they also reviewed whether a bank has independent Directors and a procedure of election of members of the Board of Directors, as well as their rights and duties; transparency of management and reporting systems; whether a bank undergoes international audit and, finally, presence of Committees and their work.
Bank of the Year 2007, Kyrgyzstan, The Banker
	AsiaUniversalBank received the title “Bank of the Year 2007, Kyrgyzstan”, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious in the financial sphere. The title is usually given according to the region, country and category principles. While selecting candidates, the expert jury takes into consideration such criteria as growth of assets and profitableness, as well as introduction and development of modern technologies, innovations and striving to a constant development. “The Banker” notes that 457 banks have taken part in the “Bank of the Year” contest this year. As a result, the experts named 155 banks from 143 countries which, as they said, are « the cream of world banking community». This year many banks of different level have been nominated for the first time, but some of the banks had already got several awards from “The Banker” before. For instance, AsiaUniversalBank has been recognized the best bank in Kyrgyzstan for the fourth time; the fact that is indicative of its dynamical development.

	Global Finance magazine has been making special mention of AsiaUniversalBank’s successfulness and innovation for five years. The prestigious American edition once again awarded the Bank. This year AUB has been recognized as the winner in the nomination – “Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank 2007”. The certificate, which verifies this title, was in stately manner presented to the Bank representatives in New York City. Global Finance magazine has offices in New York City and in London, as well as 50000 of subscribers and over 250000 of readers in almost 160 countries of the world. Most part of the readers is decision-makers from international companies and financial institutions.

	The leading analysts and experts in the sphere of international finance and the editors of Global Finance magazine awarded AsiaUniversalBank with the title “Best Customer Internet Bank 2007”. Winners in the nominations were chosen in the following categories: Internet strategy’s effectiveness and reasonableness; on-line customer base enhancement, an assortment of the products, visual evidences of Internet’s advantages (such as web-design), and web site functionality. By receiving the new award, AUB once again corroborated its leadership, a dynamical development and a high effectiveness. Global Finance covers the most part of 8000 “key portfolio investors”, which control more than 80% of all assets that are under professional management.
"Best Bank in Kyrgyzstan" in the nomination "Innovation banking product" award
	In June, 2007 AsiaUniversalBank won the contest “Best Bank in Kyrgyzstan” in the nomination “Innovation banking product”. The event was organized by AKIpress magazine and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan. The organizers initiated the nomination “Innovative banking product” for the first time with the purpose of finding the most outstanding innovation in the sphere of retail banking. According to the experts, from all the received for the nomination banking products’ applications, Internet-banking, offered by OJSC AsiaUniversalBank, that gives clients an opportunity to implement the banking operations independently, is the most innovative product at the Kyrgyz market. 20 Kyrgyzstan’s business banks took part in the contest. The banks’ financial activities in 2006 were evaluated in 4 nominations in the framework of the contest.
"Best Bank in Kyrgyzstan" in the nomination "Choice of the Internet" award
	In June, 2007 AsiaUniversalBank won the contest “Best Bank in Kyrgyzstan” in the nomination “Choice of the Internet”. The event was organized by AKIpress magazine and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan. In the course of a contest month an interactive survey was being carried out on the web-portal of AKIpress. Visitors of the site were asked to choose the best bank in Kyrgyzstan in their opinion. Almost 3 000 visitors took part in the Internet voting. AsiaUniversalBank won according to the survey results. Commenting AUB’s triumph the organizers noted a serious work that the bank had done in order to improve client services. 20 Kyrgyzstan’s business banks took part in the contest. The banks’ financial activities in 2006 were evaluated in 4 nominations in the framework of the contest.
Corporate Governance – 2006, Kyrgyzstan, Euromoney
	An international business publication “Euromoney” titled our bank the rank of “The leader in the sphere of corporate governance in advancing Europe” At XII Central and East European forum held in Vienna Martin Born, the director of the magazine on Central and East European and CIS countries, handed Mikhail Nadel, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank”, a certificate verifying the award in the nomination “Corporate Governance – 2006” . While making a decision on awarding the honor the magazine’s experts analyzed a financial institution’s transparency, effectiveness of its organizational structure, conformity to up-to-date principals of management and a system of its relationships with investors and shareholders.
Bank of the Year 2006, Kyrgyzstan, The Banker
	“The Banker”, a well-known financial magazine, gave “AsiaUniversalBank” the rank of “Bank of the Year in Kyrgyzstan”. The Bank was given this title for the third time. In London, during the ceremony, Mikhail Nadel, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AUB, was handed a statuette «Bracken» dedicated to Brandon Bracken, the founder of the magazine “The Banker” and the Chairman of a publication “Financial Times” from 1945 to 1958. “The Banker” estimated at its true worth the dynamics of the Bank’s financial showing in 2005, its innovation orientation and development strategy. “Our experts conduct the research not only on the basis of thorough analysis of increase in capital, assets and profit but they as well take into consideration orientation to advanced technologies, self-descriptiveness and strategies directed to the future progress at the market,” noted the editorial board of “The Banker’. The experts of “The Banker” mentioned a high status of the “Bank of the Year” award since the amount of applicants increases from year to year. It could be explained by the plain and accurate judgement system as well as by prestige and concernment of this award in the business world.

	In 2006 experts of a large financial edition «Global Finance» (New York) have recognized AsiaUniversalBank as the best one in Kyrgyzstan in nomination “The best Customer Internet Bank”. The bank has received a high reward for the presence of strong strategy on attraction and service of the clients, using services through Internet, for a wide spectrum of services, provided through Internet as well as for design and functionality of Internet-site. “Undoubtedly Internet has simplified the work between the bank and the client considerably, - mentioned Joseph D. Jiarraputo, an editor of Global Finance, - daily perfection of banking services in Internet shows the significance of Internet-banking development”.

	In 2006 experts of an outstanding financial edition «Global Finance» have evaluated the quality of rendering of modern banking services of AsiaUniversalBank in the fourth time. 	In 2005 AsiaUniversalBank was awarded with reward “The best Internet Bank in Kyrgyzstan” in the third time. This reward is conferred by magazine Global Finance for the presence of bank’s strong strategy on attraction and service of the clients in on-line regime, for success in attraction of a large number of clients to use banking services through Internet and for a wide spectrum of services, offered in this sphere.
Bishkek-2005 International Exhibition Gold Medal
	The Mayor of Bishkek in conjunction with the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kyrgyzexpocenter awarded the OJSC “AsiaUniversalBank” with the Gold Medal of XIII International Exhibition Bishkek-2005. The Gold Medal has been awarded for the AUB's “updated banking services”.
Golden Medal, VII International Exhibition "Kyrgyzstan-2005"
	Government of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the Organizing Committee of the "Kyrgyzstan-2005" Exhibition awarded AUB with a Golden Medal of the VII International Exhibition "Kyrgyzstan-2005". The award honored AUB for "rendering a wide spectrum of world-class banking services".
Best Emerging Market Bank 2005, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance
	Best Emerging Market Bank 2005, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance The editors of the reputable financial publication Global Finance (New York) have recognized AsiaUniversalBank as the "Best Emerging Market Bank 2005" for the third year in a row. The editors of Global Finance, in cooperation with leading analysts and experts in the area of international finance participated as members of the evaluation committee. The Jury considered the following metrics when evaluating candidate banks: – assets and income growth, level and quality of customer services, competitive pricing and innovative technology. "We were looking for banks offering services to the corporate clients and willing to expand their activities often while facing harsh market conditions". – said Josef D. Jiarraputo, Editor-in-Chief and publisher of the Global Finance.
"Bank of the Year", Kyrgyz Stock Exchange
	In January 2005, the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange in conjunction with the Ministry of Economic Development, Industry and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic awarded the AsiaUniversalBank with the "Bank of the Year" award. The Bank was named as one of the most transparent and successful financial institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange honored "AsiaUniversalBank" shares with the highest "A" category after the listing procedure. It is worth noting that only two financial institutions in Kyrgyzstan have ever been rated in the "A" category.
Best Emerging Market Bank 2004, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance
	In 2004, the Global Finance journal awarded "AsiaUniversalBank" with the title of "Best Emerging Market Bank in 2004, Kyrgyzstan". Besides "AsiaUniversalBank", other awardees in this category included such notorious banks as: HSBS, Citigroup, UBS, The Bank of New York, ÌDM Bank and Kazkommertsbank. The award ceremony took place in Washington, D.C. in September 2004 during the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund.

	In October 2004, "AsiaUniversalBank" was again awarded with the prize as the “Best Internet Bank of Kyrgyzstan” by the Global Finance journal. This award is granted on the basis of such factors as a strong on-line customer retention and customer service strategy, high rate of growth of customers utilizing the Internet banking platform, as well as a wide range of services that the candidate bank makes available on-line. Other winners included such prominent financial institutions as Citibank, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Raiffeisenbank and JP Morgan. The experts of the journal analyzed such indicators as management quality, solutions to strategic problem and task solving, profitability and innovative approaches. The quality of the Bank management, developmental achievements and positive customer feedback all contributed to AUB’s winning of the award.
Best Emerging Market Bank 2003, Kyrgyzstan, Global Finance
	AsiaUniversalBank’s achievements were highly regarded and well appreciated by the Global Finance Journal, which awarded the Bank a title of the "Best Emerging Market Bank in Kyrgyzstan”. The awarding ceremony took place in Dubai in October 2003 during the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund. The ceremony was attended by N. Abdrazakov, Chief Executive Officer, and M. Nadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

	The Global Finance journal recognized "AsiaUniversalBank" as the "Best Internet Bank in Kyrgyzstan" 16 October 2003. For the first time ever, the Bank was recognized for its flagship product – "Bank+++", the Internet banking platform. It’s important to note that AUB’s Internet banking offering was judged alongside Internet banking solutions developed by banks in other countries, and AsiaUniversalBank’s software won high praise from the jury. Other winners included Internet banking solutions developed by such well-known institutions Citibank, HSBC, UBS, Hansbank, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Kazkommertsbank, and Alfa Bank. The Awards Ceremony was attended by M. Nadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

	In 2003, The Banker magazine again awarded the "AsiaUniversalBank" as the "Best Bank in 2002, Kyrgyzstan". The awards ceremony, which took place in London, was attended by M. Nadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

	In 2002, the financial publication -The Banker journal, a member of the Financial Times group, recognized "AsiaUniversalBank" as the "Best Bank in 2002, Kyrgyzstan" for "innovations in technological development of the banking sector of the Kyrgyz Republic as well as for the outstanding financial results, including assets growth by 27,8% and income growth by 62,1%". The selection of the Bank of the Year was determined by a team of prominent editors from around the world. The main judgment criteria included not only financial performance criteria, but also the strategic and operational achievements in IT and general business development. The awards ceremony in London was attended by M. Nadel, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
