AUB is one of the biggest banks in the Kyrgyz Republic and its activity has a substantial influence on development of the country’s economy and financial sector. In particular, as of 01.07.07 the Bank’s assets (5.8 billion soms) constitute 16.4% of all the assets of the Kyrgyz Republic’s banking system, a share of AUB’s deposits forms 21.6% of the total deposit base of the commercial banks. AUB got into the top three banks according to its equity capital size – 773.8 million soms.
In 2006 AUB became one of the largest tax payers in the country and contributed over 23, 7 million soms to the state budget.
The Chairman of the Board, Nurdin Abdrazakov stated: “We understand that cleanness of streets, size of pensions, living standard of teachers and doctors first of all depend on taxes income contributed to the state treasury. AsiaUniversalBank fairly does its duty to the society”
Taking into consideration the importance of obtaining additional financial resources for the development of the economy of the state, AUB regards as its priority crediting of enterprises and private practices of Kyrgyzstan. Besides, AUB is actively participating in the mortgage crediting program, thereby makes a big contribution in the decision of housing problems of the country.
In the framework of its anticorruption policy carried out, the Bank’s regularly advocates restrictions on payments in cash during conferences, round table talks as well as in Mass media. In November, 2006 the Kyrgyz Republic passed the appropriate law directed to counteraction to illegally elicit funds and the Bank’s efforts of many years got their normal completion.
