The Bank charity policies target systematic support of individuals and entities in need of assistance. AUB tries to reduce the practice of one-time assistance, instead focusing its social assistance programs on delivering a tangible and lasting social impact. However, there are cases when it would simply be inhumane to refuse aid to a seriously ill child, a veteran of war, or a single mother, who has stumbled upon financial hardships.
AUB sponsors numerous charity programs, which include assistance to the public organization “Soldiers of Patriotic War”, public association “War Veterans”, public foundation “Dostuk Nuru”, International Charity Foundation of Kurmandjan Danka, the Day Hospital for Mentally Challenged Children, adult care facility, Association of Parents of incapable children, Diabetic Association of Kyrgyzstan, Boarding School for deaf children, and organization of blind people.
In 2004, AUB assumed external supervision of the Belovodsky Psychoneurological Boarding Institution for Children, which provides care for 250 incapacitated children. The Bank’s personnel actively participate in numerous charity actions organized to provide assistance for boarding facilities for children and the elderly.
